PRINPAG NATIONAL EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS 2025: UPDATED GUIDELINES
INTRODUCTION
The newly constituted Electoral Committee of the Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) hereby issues this official guide to assist all members—both candidates and voters—in understanding and fully participating in the upcoming National Executive Elections, rescheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
1. ELECTION DAY INFORMATION
- Date: Tuesday, August 19, 2025
- Time: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Venue: PRINPAG National Secretariat, Kokomlemle
All eligible members are encouraged to participate actively and make their voices count in shaping the future of PRINPAG.
2. VOTING ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to vote:
- Your media house must be a registered member of PRINPAG.
- Your media house must be in good financial standing as of close of business, July 31, 2025.
- All outstanding obligations must be settled before Election Day.
- You must be duly nominated by your media house, with proof of nomination and a valid photo identification card presented at the polls.
Members unsure of their membership status are advised to contact the PRINPAG Secretariat for confirmation.
3. CODE OF CONDUCT
- All candidates and members must maintain decorum throughout the campaign period.
- Any form of intimidation, misinformation, or unethical conduct is strictly prohibited.
- All members must respect the authority, neutrality, and decisions of the Electoral Committee.
4. CAMPAIGN GUIDELINES
- Official campaigning, which began on Saturday, July 26, 2025, will end at close of business, Monday, August 18, 2025.
- Candidates may continue to use the official PRINPAG WhatsApp platform and other approved channels to communicate their manifestos, provided they strictly adhere to the campaign closing date.
5. RESULTS & DECLARATION
- Voting will be supervised by officials from the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
- Votes will be counted immediately after the close of polls, and results will be announced at the venue.
- Any disputes must be submitted in writing to the PRINPAG Electoral Committee within 24 hours of the official declaration of results.
Further updates regarding the final voter list and other logistical arrangements will be communicated directly to candidates.
